Lina Buscham

Lina Buscham (born October 19, 1889 in Brussels ; † June 28, 1978 ) was a German politician ( FDP ) and member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life and work

Buscham attended the Sacré-Cœur school in Brussels with the exception of one year in the Ursuline school in Kassel . She then attended the women's school (École Professionelle) in Brussels for three years. She then completed evening courses (Université Populaire) as well as private lessons in English, Italian and applied arts. She helped in her husband's business. She volunteered as the chairwoman of the Siebengebirge women's ring .

politics

Buscham had been a member of the FDP since 1946. She was chairwoman of the women's committee in the regional association of the FDP and from 1950 to 1958 chairwoman of the federal party's committee for women's issues. From 1948 she was the deputy mayor of Bad Honnef .

From July 5, 1950 to July 4, 1954, Buscham was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia , which elected her to the second Federal Assembly , which in 1954 re-elected Theodor Heuss as Federal President.
