Linda S. Howington (born August 3, 1950 in Alabama , USA ), known by her pseudonym Linda Howard , is a romance author.

Life

Linda S. Howington was born on August 3, 1950 in Alabama, USA. At the age of nine she began to write her own works, but until she was 30 she only wrote for her private pleasure. She worked for a shipping company where she also met her future husband, Gary F. Howington. In 1980 she tried to make her work available to a wide public. Her first book was published by Silhouette Verlag in 1982.

Before starting her writing career, she was an avid reader of Barbara Mitchell's novels . She lives with husband Gary F. Howington in Gadsden , Alabama and has three grown stepchildren .
