Linda Joy Duffield

Linda Joy Duffield CMG (born April 18, 1953 ) is a British diplomat .

Life

Linda Joy Duffield joined the Department of Health and Social Security (DHSS) in 1976 and studied at the École nationale d'administration in Paris in 1986 .

In 1987 she became First Class Embassy Secretary in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office . From November 2002 to 2004 she headed the wider Europe department in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. In 1989 she was employed in the trade department in Moscow . In 1992 she was promoted to embassy counselor.

From May 1999 to 2002 she was High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Colombo .

From 2004 to 2009 she was ambassador in Prague .
