Linda Kyei (born December 6, 1987 in Reutlingen ) is a German musician (Popular Electronic Jazz).

Life

Linda Kyei grew up with her German mother, who among other things worked as a music teacher, in Reutlingen, her father came from Ghana . Linda took her mother's lessons at the age of three and learned to play the recorder, later piano and violin. Classical singing lessons and conducting courses followed in childhood.

In the following time, she focused on singing and her love for jazz , gospel and soul .

At the age of 15 she started composing her own pieces on the piano and directed her first gospel choir projects. At the age of 18, she brought her own songs on stage for the first time in the form of a band project and took part in various formations.

Musical work

In 2009 she sang the hymn of the European Youth Day of the New Apostolic Church in what was then the LTU Arena in Düsseldorf with a live television broadcast. As a result, she was noticed by a larger audience and toured in Germany and Europe.

Since 2012 she has been performing mainly with her formation Linda Kyei Band (Popular Electronic Jazz).
