The Ges.mbH Linde Verlag is an Austrian publishing house in Vienna , the 1925 German Industry Publishing and Versandbuchhandel Spaeth & Linde in Berlin was founded and due to effects of the Second World War from 1944-45 its publishing activities shifted into its Austrian subsidiary. Today's publishing program includes books , magazines , new media , online offers and seminars , with a focus on tax law , finance and accounting , law (especially business law ) and business administration .

history

Publishing house

Kommerzialrat Paul Linde and Hans Jentzsch founded the industrial publishing house Spaeth und Linde in Vienna in 1925 . The Österreichische Steuer- und Wirtschaftszeitung published by the publisher was merged with the acquired magazine for balance sheet, tax and economy , and in 1929 the magazine for bookkeeping and tax was also bought. In addition to the magazine, a number of specialist books on tax and economic issues such as B. “The tax burden in Austria”, “The Austrian Schilling law” and “Gold balance in Austria”.

The Österreichische Steuer- und Wirtschaftszeitung was renamed the Österreichische Steuer- und Wirtschaftskartei (SWK) in 1935 and redesigned: the individual pages of the magazine could now be arranged in a folder supplied as a subject index. To this day, the SWK is the publisher's best-known product.

After the death of Paul Linde, the publishing house was under state administration for 13 years from 1945. The publishing house, renamed Industrieverlag Linde since 1955 , was taken over by Linde's son Peter Linde in 1958 and was run under the name Industrieverlag Peter Linde . In the same year a mail order bookshop was founded.

In 1979 the Code of Tax Laws was the first volume of a publication of collections of laws in Austria, edited and conceived by Werner Doralt .

In 1989 all shares in the publishing house were taken over by the Jentzsch family. Book and magazine production was expanded, in particular to include publications on international and European tax law.

In 1991 a branch was opened in Prague . Linde Praha as is now a specialist legal publisher in the Czech Republic . With the purchase of Eisenstädter Prugg Verlag in 1994 and the establishment of a popular business segment with general business titles and guides, which began in 2003, the program was continuously expanded to include further legal areas.

Linde Verlag has also been offering up-to-date and practice-oriented seminars, courses, conferences and workshops since 1998.

Since 2008, the JAKOM annual commentary has been the only annual commentary on the Income Tax Act in Austria. In addition, some of the journals have been offered online since 2009.

Under the imprint "Linde Popular", the publisher has been offering a guide program as well as business non-fiction topics for the Austrian market since spring 2003.

The topics in this program platform are national or specifically geared towards the German market. Popular guides are published in cooperation with the mega-print partner Stern . “Linde International” cooperates with Wirtschaftswoche on theBusiness Non-Fiction” program.
