Linear lever steering

With linear steering lever an alternative control is used for the steering of motor vehicles , respectively. It has a lever, with its back and forth movement via hydraulic actuating elements, a corresponding steering angle or directional adjustment of the front wheels is effected.

It is used in the context of the motor vehicle adaptation for the physically handicapped for people who cannot operate the standard steering wheel . It can be used for many different physical disabilities . The control unit can be individually adapted to different requirements and ranges for operation with the hand , a finger , the knee or with the toes of the foot. It can also be adapted to any installation location in the car and any direction of movement.

The assembly is usually parallel to the existing steering wheel - steering system which does not change or is removed. With the additional assembly instead of a real conversion, the original operation of the automobile can be retained for non-disabled drivers. The installation is carried out by special conversion companies; the installation can also be ordered ex works from various automobile manufacturers .
