Ling Tong ( Chinese  淩 統 , Pinyin Líng Tŏng ; * 189 in Yuhang ; † 217 ) was a general of the Wu Dynasty under Sun Quan at the time of the Three Kingdoms in ancient China.

He was born in Yuhang in 189. When he was only fifteen years old, his father fell victim to Ling Cao Gan Ning's arrow attack, who was then serving under Huang Zu . Ling Tong followed in his father's footsteps and served Sun Quan as the commanding officer of the auxiliaries.

During Sun Quan's third attack on Huang Zu, Ling Tong achieved a complete victory. He was then appointed "Commander who receives justice".

During the Battle of Chibi , Ling Tong received the rank of commander. When the Wu and Wei troops clash at Hefei , Ling Tong was named Premier of Pei.

Ling Tong hated Gan Ning, who killed his father, and tried to kill him after he entered the service of Sun Quan. But Lu Meng and Sun Quan reprimanded him; he came to appreciate Gan Ning after he saved Ling Tong from the Wei Army. Since then both have tried to outdo each other.
