The city of Linghai ( Chinese  凌海市 , Pinyin Línghǎi Shì ) is an independent city in the district-free city of Jinzhou in the southwest of Liaoning Province in the People's Republic of China . It has an area of ​​2,585.5 km² and has 533,000 inhabitants (2010).
