Game of the Year 1995: Selection list of
German Games Prize 1995: 2nd place

Line 1 is a board game for 2–5 players, developed by Stefan Dorra and first published in 1995 by Goldsieber . The graphic design was done by Franz Vohwinkel . The game was on the shortlist for Game of the Year 1995 and came second in the “ German Games Prize ”. In 2010 Goldsieber brought out a new edition with a revised design and three special cubes.

Game idea

The aim of the game is to use various route cards to build a tram line from one train station to another and then use your tram to drive down this line with a die. On the way you have to take various stops with you as specified. The special attraction of the game lies in the fact that everyone only knows their own start and destination station and the lines can constantly cross. The winner is whoever arrives first at his destination station and has reached all of his stops along the way.
