Lino Micciché

Lino Micciché (actually Calogero Micciché ; born July 31, 1934 in Caltanissetta , † July 1, 2004 in Rome ) was an Italian film critic and historian .

Life

Micciché wrote as one of the recognized experts in film studies for numerous magazines and periodicals such as “Avanti!”, Taught film history and criticism as a university lecturer, founded the “ Mostra del Cinema Nuovi di Pesaro ”, acted as president of Fipresci and was responsible in the 1960s several documentaries . In All'armi, siam fascisti , published in 1962, he and Lino Del Fra and Cecilia Mangini described the rise and fall of the Benito Mussolini regime . In the same year he contributed to the episode film I misteri di Roma .

In later years he was chairman and member of the juries of various film festivals.
