Linval Laird

Linval Laird (born June 23, 1969 ) is a former Jamaican sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

Sports career

At the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, he won silver in the 4-by-400-meter relay .

In 1997 another relay silver medal followed at the World Indoor Championships in Paris . At the Central American and Caribbean Championships, he won silver in the individual competition, and at the World Athletics Championships in Athens , he contributed with a preliminary effort to ensure that the Jamaican 4-by-400-meter relay won silver. Shortly afterwards he won bronze at the Universiade in Catania .
