Lisa-Marie Blum

Lisa-Marie Blum , b. Koch, (born October 3, 1911 in Geestemünde , † March 16, 1993 in Hamburg ) was a German writer, painter and graphic artist.

biography

Blum was the daughter of a fish wholesaler in Geestemünde. Her sister was the children's book author Gerda Marie Scheidl (1913-2005). From 1929 she studied painting and graphics in Berlin. There she married the painter and graphic artist Fritz Paul Blum (1897–1971) in 1934; both had three children. You had a studio in Berlin that was destroyed in a bomb attack in 1943; all of their works were lost. In March 1945 she and her children fled to Wesermünde (now Bremerhaven ) to live with their parents; her husband followed her after the war ended. In 1950 they moved to Hamburg.

Blum drew and wrote fairy tale and children's books and was able to publish numerous works, poetry, illustrated books and stories, etc. a. in various newspapers and on the radio and often in the Thienemanns publishing house. In 1957 she received the Süddeutscher Rundfunk literary prize for the story Die Sternbilder der Gemini .
