Lisa Bettany
Lisa Bettany (born November 3, 1981 in Victoria (British Columbia) , Canada ) is a Canadian photographer, blogger and app developer. She is co-founder of the iPhone camera app Camera + .
life and work
Bettany grew up as the daughter of British parents in Victoria. A back injury ended her career as a figure skater at the age of 20. During her regeneration, she published her first blog and became more involved with photography. With an international team, she developed the Camera + app in 2009 , MagiCam in 2014 and Vee for Video in 2015. The development team generated sales of almost $ 2 million for the Camera + app within one year. She was named a Top Tech Entrepreneur by Forbes in 2012, and she was listed on Fast Company 's Most Creative People in Business 1000 list in 2014. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a bachelor's degree in linguistics and journalism and a master's degree in linguistics. She currently resides in Comox , British Columbia with her husband and daughter Kate .
