Lisa Cieslik

Lisa Cieslik (* 1955 in Cologne ) is a German performance artist from Cologne.

Lisa Cieslik is self-taught. From 1978 to 1980 she was a guest student with Daniel Spoerri at the University of Applied Sciences for Art and Design in Cologne. In 1983 she was invited by the performance group Minus Delta T to the Bangkok Festival at the Institute of Modern Art. There she founded PAAPAE (Project Archive Asia Africa Europe) with Minus Delta T. In 1986 she coined the term consumer realism and implemented it in many actions and works. Together with the American Fluxus artist Al Hansen , she founded the Ultimate Academy in Cologne in 1987.

Awards

In 2016 she received a working grant from the Emily Harvey Foundation in Venice .
