Lisandra Llaudy Pupo (born May 9, 1988 in Holguín ) is a Cuban chess player .

Life

Lisandra Llaudy Pupo learned to play chess from her father, a chess coach. She attended the Erado Domínguez Academy and the Pedro Díaz Coello sports school in Holguín.

successes

Since June 2008 she has held the title of International Women's Champion (WIM). She achieved the necessary standards for this at the Cuban individual championships for women in 2006 in Santa Clara and 2007 in Holguín and with over-fulfillment at the 42nd Capablanca Memorial in 2007 in Havana , where she defeated Sebastian Siebrecht and Lisandra Ordaz , among others . She has held the title of FIDE Trainer since 2012.

In November 2011, she won a women's zone tournament in Santiago de Cuba . In February 2012 she won the Cuban women's individual championship in Holguín in a playoff against Jennifer Pérez Rodríguez and in December 2012 the Central American women's individual championship in Panama City . At the Chess Olympiad 2012 in Istanbul , she took part of the Cuban women's team as a reserve player. She was able to win the Central American Championship again in November 2015 in San Salvador . Once again she was Cuban women's individual champion in 2018, again in Holguín.

Her Elo rating is 2294 (as of September 2018), which puts her behind Lisandra Ordaz in second place in the Cuban women's Elo ranking. Her highest rating was 2320 from March to May 2018.
