The Lisog (formerly LiSoG - . Linux Solutions Group eV ) was a club of open source publishers to provide and users in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Serbia, Canada and the United States.

history

The Linux Solution Group (LiSoG) was founded on March 7, 2005 by 29 companies, including IBM, MySQL, Novell, Red Hat and Siemens Business Services, and institutions and consisted of 121 members in May. The Lisog office was located at MFG Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart. The association also maintained contact offices in Zurich (since 2005), Vienna (since 2006), Hamburg (since 2008), Berlin (since 2009), Palo Alto and Toronto.

In November 2007 the LIVE Linux Association and Lisog started negotiations on a merger.

As of 2010, three additional board members of the LIVE Linux Association were added to the board of Lisog.

On July 21st and 22nd, 2011 the associations LiVe Linux Verband eV and Lisog decided to merge. The name of the new organization is Open Source Business Alliance (OSBA) . The merger was completed in September 2011.
