Görner, Silesian nobility
The von Görner brothers appear in 1505 as brothers Georg, Caspar and Wenzel in Neudorf (Steinau). They sat on Gora or Guhren in Glogauic . They took the name Görner after their possessions Gur / Gor . The family line belongs to the Stosch von Gor family.
Georg August Görner was raised to the bohemian nobility on July 18, 1697. Its origins are in Saxony-Meissen. His mother, a Frau von Schönfeld, married a middle-class Görner. Georg August von Görner was a lawyer and the Imperial and Royal Chief Fiscal of the Duchy of Silesia in Breslau.
Görner, patrician in Saxony
The Görner were doctors and overseas traders in the Saxon town of Löbau in the 17th century . They traded in cloth with America. The family comes from exiles from Bohemia. At their main house in Löbau, Rittergasse 6, a 4-like Mercury symbol and an anchor like a coat of arms are embedded. This symbol stands for merchants as a house symbol.
