This list is based on the directory of cultural monuments for the municipality of Apelern in the draft village renewal Apelern, Reinsdorf, Lyhren and the Lower Saxony monument atlas. The status of the list is April 24, 2020.

Church at the church square | Architectural monument group. Romanesque building from 1162, which was rebuilt and expanded over the centuries into a two-aisled, three-bay Gothic hall church. The tower, reminiscent of a fortified tower, dates from the 13th century. On the tower is the mausoleum of the von Münchhausen family, built around 1600 in the Weser Renaissance style and used until the construction of a new mausoleum in Münchhausen Park in 1913/14. | 36215137 |

Gut von Hammerstein Great Angle 17 | Architectural monument group. Already mentioned in 1055 as a Billungian heritage, expanded from 1580 by the Schaumburg Chancellor Anton (I) von Wietersheim . Owned by the Hammerstein family since 1673. The northern part of the moat has been filled in. The garden south of the castle island was restored in 2004 according to historical garden plans. Gut von Münchhausen Rintelner Str. | Architectural monument group. Family-owned property since 1369. The manor house was built in 1561, the gate building in 1595, and further additions in the 18th to 20th centuries. The castle courtyard is completely surrounded by a moat, access is only possible via a stone bridge. Completely renovated in 2004/2005. The surrounding Münchhausen Park, leased by the municipality, is accessible to walkers. | 36215244 |
