The list of governors of Goiás gives an overview of the governors of the Brazilian state of Goiás since the Sixth Republic.

The official seat of the governor has been the Palácio das Esmeraldas in Goiânia since 1937 .

history

The government history of Goiás goes back to 1721, when the area belonged to the São Paulo captaincy , from 1749 it was known as Minas de Goiás . When the Empire of Brazil was established, it became the province of Goiás from 1821 to 1889 , and when the Republic of Brazil was proclaimed it became the Estado de Goiás.
