List of governors of Uttar Pradesh

The following table lists the governors of Uttar Pradesh since India's independence with their respective terms of office. Until 1950 the state still bore its name "United Provinces" from the colonial times. The northern part of the state was separated in 2000 as an independent state of Uttarakhand ( Uttaranchal until 2007 ).
