The list of International Masters of 1968 lists all chess players who received the title of International Masters in 1968 from the World Chess Federation FIDE .

In September 2017, five of the ten honored players were still alive. Four of the ten players later achieved the grandmaster title .

Legend

The table contains the following information:

  • Name : gives the name of the player.
  • Country : Name of the country for which the player was eligible to play in 1968.
  • Life data : states the year of birth and, if applicable, the year of death of the player.
  • GM : Indicates the year of award for players who were later promoted to grandmasters.
