Detailed memorial texts

  1. School and prayer house, two-story massive building erected in 1876 with seven to two axes, windows and doors with segmental arches, sandstone walls, the windows e.g. Partly with muntin, twin windows on the gable end. The gable roof with a central, slated roof turret with an open bell chair and clock, above a high pyramid roof.
Next to the school and church building is the small village cemetery, the extensive quarry stone wall of which significantly shapes the townscape.
The combination of a school with a church (prayer house) is characteristic of the landscape around Brand-Erbisdorf. This type of construction is not found in large parts of the former Chemnitz administrative district. In addition to the already existing local historical importance due to the history of use, the building is also of great typological and socio-historical importance.
The cemetery wall next to the school and church building has a significant impact on the townscape. As a structural testimony to the village cemetery, the wall also has local historical significance. (LfD / 2012/2017).
  2. Manor house: two-storey, belt cornices, ground floor window with segmented arches, entrance area and terrace with balusters, figurative medallions and plaster volutes between the floors, pilasters and triangular roofing on the upper floor, windows with muntins (plastic) and shutters, hip roof, slate roofing, four dormers, corner tower with an elaborately designed third floor, pyramid roof with lantern.
Servants' house: solid ground floor, sandstone, upper floor also solid, but wooden walls, windows e.g. Partly with sprout, half hip roof, slate covering.
    Structural assets to be protected:
Buildings: mansion of the former knight's estate (individual monument, Hofberg 6), servants' house (individual monument, Hofberg 8), cf. ID no. 08991300.
Enclosure: decorative grille fence renewed based on the historical model.
Access: Gate with decorative grille gate from the southwest side,
path system: only a few paths remain (these with concrete paving).
Water elements: pond in the north of the facility (another pond to the west of it no longer exists, cf.Mess Tischblatt 1916, 1939), the course of the stream crosses the park from southeast to northwest, two large stones as a bridge over the stream, drain in the south of the Pond.
Vegetation: Single trees: Pair of winter linden trees (Tilia cordata) as gate trees to the left and right of the gate.
Grove of trees: Group of winter linden (Tilia cordata) on the north-west bank of the pond.
