Evangelical Church of St. Ulrich Hauptstrasse 41

1023 (first mentioned) Church of St. Ulrich: massive structure made of quarry stone (red sandstone) with a gable roof. Bell house above the timber-framed tower; Above that, a hipped roof with an octagonal helmet. The choir of the original fortified church dates from before 1300; its walls and ceilings are decorated with paintings from around 1300. The east tower above the choir is also early Gothic. The remains of a Romanesque portal can be found on the west wall, and a Renaissance archway at the west entrance. The church is enclosed by a high wall, which is part of the former fortification (fortified church). The Kirchkeller Hauptstr. 41/1.
