The list of cultural monuments in Weßnig includes the cultural monuments of the Torgau district of Weßnig , which were recorded by the State Office for Monument Preservation of Saxony until August 2020 (excluding archaeological cultural monuments). The notes are to be observed.

This list is a subset of the list of cultural monuments in Torgau .

Around 1900 Striking building in the style of the German Neo-Renaissance, enlivened by curved gables and corners, today used as a school, significant in terms of building history and local history as well as artistically. Two-storey plastered building with a crooked hip roof, polygonal corner tower, single-storey portal extension and original fencing, with a striking staircase inside. 09286288

19th century (ice cellar); around 1900 (estate park) Landscape-style park with a pond, significant in terms of local history, gardening and landscape design.

Ice cellar: Pointed barrel in mixed natural stone masonry (sandstone, field stone, lawn iron stone), entrance with profiled stone walls (Renaissance profile, presumably second-hand), earth cover designed as a hill, on which it was probably originally a pavilion (current pavilion in metal construction not a monument).

1803/1804 (church); 1879 (organ brochure) Impressive hall church with a tower that can be seen from afar, of architectural and local significance.
  • Plastered brick building. Large rectangular gallery hall with a polygonal east end. The square, drawn-in west tower above the ridge of the gable roof merges into the octagon, with a curved hood and lantern that can be seen from afar. Flat covered throughout. The furnishings largely from the time of origin: pulpit altar in architectural framing, baptism and surrounding galleries, old stalls, two-story on the long sides and with built-in patronage boxes. Neo-Gothic organ prospect. Stained glass in the south window of the polygon (around 1900), Vasa Sacra also protected as part of the furnishings. Gravestone with inscription and ornamentation for Christiana Magdalena von der Pforta (1668–1701) in the church.

    • Kumer, Reinhold (died 1883), children's tombstone, opened book on a pad
    • Pottery, Amalia Leopoldine (died 1801) and probably other family members, fluted column with oval inscription field and further stele with wreath and top
    • Unknown, lying grave slab with God's eye, pendants and inscription (still to be deciphered with great effort), 1st half of the 19th century
    • Unknown, inscription tombstone, twelve lines (still to be deciphered in parts with greater effort), 19th century
    • Unknown, small stone with cloth hanger, inscription and tree motif on it, 1st half of the 19th century

After 1918 (war memorial); 1919 (Schlenker tomb) Tomb of the Schlenker manor family, historically significant.
  • The war memorial consists of a stepped base, a massive stele with pillars on the side and an attachment with a helmet. The front is decorated with a cross.
  • Tomb Schlenker, Louis, manor owners (1859–1919) and Ida Schlenker (1861–1941), simple but at the same time noble tomb wall after 1900 with a raised central section

  • This list is not suitable for deriving binding statements on the monument status of an object. As far as a legally binding determination of the listed property of an object is desired, the owner can apply to the responsible lower monument protection authority for a notice.
  • The official list of cultural monuments is never closed. It is permanently changed through clarifications, new additions or deletions. A transfer of such changes to this list is not guaranteed at the moment.
  • The monument quality of an object does not depend on its entry in this or the official list. Objects that are not listed can also be monuments.
  • Basically, the property of a monument extends to the substance and appearance as a whole, including the interior. Deviating applies if only parts are expressly protected (e.g. the facade).
