List of names of warships in the HRR

The purpose of this page is to list all the names of the HRR warships in alphabetical order. It is not yet complete. Status of processing s. here .
The following rules apply to the listing of warship names:

1. The names of all ships of the naval forces of the HRR and its sub-states including the German Hanseatic cities are listed.

2. The names are listed in alphabetical order without taking prefixes (eg SMS) into account. If the list becomes too long, it will be split up.

3. For each name there is a heading (bold), including the individual namesake.

4. As far as sensible, names with several components are listed twice (e.g. Churprinz von Brandenburg under C and B ).

6. The following are given: name , period of naming, type, marine. Further details go beyond the list and should not be included here.

7. There is only one link per ship entry, namely the ship name on an article in the order of these priorities:

  • Name article of the ship
  • List of ships of the respective Navy (as a pipelink to the respective Navy)
  • Articles about the respective navy
  • Articles on the ship type only in exceptional cases
