history

In the years 1679 and 1680 the frigate took the squadron Claus von Beverns of raids against Hamburg and Spain and then Cornelis Reers at the four-month search for Spanish ships in the Caribbean part. On September 30, 1681, under the command of Jakob Raule, Benjamin Raules ' brother , she was involved with Thomas Alders' squadron in the battle off Cape St. Vincent ( Portugal ) with a Spanish fleet. From 1682 to 1684 the ship was initially in Glückstadt before it was moved to Emden .

As part of the colonial efforts of the Great Elector , the frigate was involved in the voyages of Brandenburg ships to West Africa from 1685 to 1687 under Captain Cornelis Reers . She conquered the Arguin fort and made numerous trips to the West African possessions of Kurbrandenburg. Wear and damage caused by the missions made a repair in Amsterdam necessary in 1687 , before the Rother Löwe was finally sold on July 31, 1690 in Emden.
