List of regiments of the Bavarian Reichskreis
The Bavarian Imperial Circle consisted essentially of the Electorate of Bavaria and the Prince Archbishopric of Salzburg . In addition there were the Passau , Freising and Regensburg monasteries and other small imperial estates . The circle was also divided into different Catholic and Lutheran classes. In addition, the fact that spa Bavaria often sided with "anti-imperial" France led to great tensions with Salzburg, who was loyal to the Habsburg castle.
