Map of Barbados Island

This is a list of cities in Barbados .

Official population statistics for the cities of Barbados are not available, the census only counts the population of the parishes . There are no municipal boundaries, the boundaries of cities and villages are only set informally.

By far the largest agglomeration in Barbados is Bridgetown in Parish St. Michael with a population of approx. 95,000 (that's practically the population of St. Michael). If you count the suburbs in the neighboring parishes, the population is 110,000. This means that more than a third of the country's population is concentrated in the agglomeration.

The table lists the places with more than 500 inhabitants, the results of the census of May 2, 1990, a calculation for January 1, 2005 and the Parish ( district ) to which the city belongs. The population figures refer to the actual city without suburbs. Even the census figures are rounded, so the update is not exact.

Other large towns are the tourist centers on the south coast ( Worthing and Hastings , each with over 2000 inhabitants) and Six Cross Roads , the center of the eastern part of the island.
