List of suggestive names for German weapons in World War II
In 1944, Joseph Goebbels asked the Wehrmacht to propose "suggestive names" for "particularly high-quality" new weapons in order to "make them known at home and increase their propaganda effect on hostile and neutral countries". Hitler reserved the name for other new weapons.
