literaturkritik.de is a German-language online magazine founded in 1999 , which is also published monthly in print . It publishes reviews of new publications on the book market as well as essays and reports on the thematic spectrum of the literary world and cultural studies .
It is published by the Institute for Modern German Literature and Media at the University of Marburg under the overall responsibility of its founder Thomas Anz , who was an editor in the features section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in the 1980s .
literaturkritik.de was founded in 1999 as a review forum. Originally intended to convey qualifications that facilitate access to professional practice, especially in the areas of publishing and cultural journalism , the multimedia information and learning system for literary criticism has also been in place in Germany since July 2001 in cooperation with the University of Rostock . Theory and practice developed from the 18th century to the present day .
Each month, essays, reviews and articles about the cultural scene are subordinate to a thematic focus.
There are currently more than 10,000 articles online, with around 80-100 articles added each month, all of which are edited before publication. In terms of content, the spectrum ranges from literary articles to reviews of books for children and young people as well as thrillers and crime novels. In addition, there are articles on current column discussions.
This literature portal has found a response in the print media, radio and television. “On the Internet, a review organ of this quality is unprecedented”, said the Neue Zürcher Zeitung on March 3, 1999. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung considered it “the first and most extensive of its kind on the German network” on November 16, 2000, and the Börsenblatt attested him on January 23, 2003 "an outstanding position".
