Litsa Spathi

Litsa Spathi (* 1958 in Kephalonia ) is a contemporary German-Greek painter who is also active in the areas of Fluxus and Mail Art . She has lived in Germany since 1973 and is currently working in Heidelberg and Breda (Netherlands).

Since 1990 she has contributed works to artist magazines and artist books, has exhibited in solo exhibitions and participates in group exhibitions. It was supported by the Karlsruhe Regional Council as part of the art funding of the State of Baden-Württemberg. She goes on study trips to various European countries. Her work can be found in national and international archives, museums and collections.

Spathi coined the term “ Fluxus Poetry ” to describe her artistic activities in the field of visual poetry .

In 2003 she founded the Fluxus Heidelberg Center with Ruud Janssen .
