The Little Jason Lagoon ( English for Small Jason Lagoon ) is an almost circular lagoon of 650 m in diameter on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located at the head of Jason Harbor and is connected to it via a narrow passage.

The name of the lagoon was already known before 1920. Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations carried out surveys in 1929 and named them Nogood Lagoon (English for bad lagoon ) because they could not reach them by boat through the passage. However, this designation did not catch on, especially after the South Georgia Survey used the traditional designation again for surveys from 1951 to 1952. The name probably derives from the name of Jason Harbor, which is named after the ship Jason , with which the Norwegian whaling entrepreneur Carl Anton Larsen visited the bay on his Antarctic voyage from 1892 to 1894.
