The band initially played under the name Carousel Moon , later they called themselves simply Moon . For a short time they also presented themselves as lazy eyes . As a result, the band lost part of their fan base who simply didn't notice the constant name changes. After being re-established in 2005 , the group around guitarist Edward "Maz" Marriott gained national recognition for the first time with the help of the internet network myspace.com and its own internet forum.

In March 2006 they signed a recording deal with the British indie label V2 Records and have since released five singles and EPs . On January 29, 2007, her debut album About What You Know was released , the songs of which are characterized by catchy melodies and texts taken from life. Her two most successful singles to date are Man I Hate Your Band and What? What you got? although the latter cannot be found on the LP . Four of her five single releases landed in the UK Top 75 charts straight away .
