Little Village
Little Village was an American rock band.
Career
It was founded in 1992 by Ry Cooder (guitars), John Hiatt (vocals, guitar, piano), Nick Lowe (bass) and Jim Keltner (drums). They recorded the album Little Village with producer Lenny Waronker at Reprise Records and toured the US and Europe. A concert on this tour in Chicago in April 1992 was released as a double CD by the record company The Swingin 'Pig Records (which specializes in live recordings) under the title Stage Job . As is often the case with such projects, the “ supergroup ” did not last long and dissolved again in the same year.
With the name of the band, the musicians Sonny Boy Williamson II paid their respects. His play of the same name was published in 1969.
