Four sisters, who couldn't be more different, grow up sheltered in New England in the 19th century: Meg is obedient, Jo rebellious, Beth selfless and Amy self-centered. However, with the outbreak of the Civil War, the family got into difficult circumstances in which the girls had to learn what cohesion meant.
