Liu Dalin

Liu Dalin , sometimes also Dalin Liu or Ta-lin Liu, ( Chinese  刘达临 , Pinyin Liúdálín ; * 1932 ) is a Chinese sociologist and sexologist. He was a professor at Shanghai University .

Life

In 1989 and 1990, Liu conducted a nationwide survey of Chinese sexual behaviors and attitudes. In terms of quantity and quality, this is comparable to the Kinsey report . He first published the results in 1992 in Shanghai , followed by an English version in 1997 ( Sexual Behavior in Modern China ). Also in 1997 he opened China's first sex museum in Shanghai, which is now in Tongli .

In 1994 he received the Magnus Hirschfeld Medal for Sexology from the German Society for Social Science Sex Research , where he is a member of the International Board of Trustees.
