Liudvikas Sabutis

Liudvikas Sabutis (born February 1, 1939 in Klaipėda , Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian lawyer and politician, prosecutor and member of the Seimas , Deputy Minister of Justice of Soviet Lithuania .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Kretinga , he graduated from the Agricultural Mechanization School in Šilutė in 1957 and worked as a mechanic and driver. From 1958 to 1962 he served in the Soviet Army in Leningrad . 1973 graduated from the Vilniaus universitetas with a degree in law . From 1974 to 1979 he was Senior Public Prosecutor of Ignalina , from 1983 to 1987 first Deputy General Prosecutor of Soviet Lithuania and from 1987 to 1989 General Prosecutor of Soviet Lithuania, then Soviet Deputy Minister of Justice .

From 1990 to 2012 (with breaks) he was a member of the Seimas.

From 2001 to 2004 he was a prosecutor in the General Prosecutor's Office of Lithuania .
