Live at the Regal is a live album by US blues guitarist BB King , released in 1965 . It was recorded on November 21, 1964 at the Regal Theater in Chicago , a nightclub and entertainment venue in Chicago's Southside neighborhood.

Around this time, King's career seemed to be going downhill, with black audiences turning more and more away from the blues. But the British blues revival brought the blues closer to white Americans as they learned about the pieces of music that brought British groups like the Rolling Stones back to the US. The album paved King's path for appearances at rock concerts and on the radio.

Although the album was critically acclaimed, BB King took it a little more soberly: "And even if Live was a good album, I probably gave hundreds of concerts that were better than the one on the shelf."
