Livio Cecini

Livio Cecini (born October 26, 1976 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss actor and musical performer.

Career

Born in Switzerland, Livio Cecini completed his acting studies in Zurich and Cologne. After completing his training, he made guest appearances at the Cologne Theater and the Karlsruhe State Theater . His first permanent engagement took him to the St. Gallen Theater . For the role of the puck in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream , he received the Armin Ziegler Foundation award for outstanding young Swiss artists.

Livio Cecini has been a regular guest on many German-speaking stages since 2007 and keeps changing from spoken to music theater. He appeared at the Bad Hersfeld Festival as Stephano in the musical adaptation of Der Sturm and touched the hearts of the audience with a live chicken at his side in the world premiere of Carmen - A German Musical . He also played the pastor in Heidi - The Musical on the Seebühne Walenstadt and Mario in the musical Bloody Honey at the Klagenfurt City Theater . He was seen in companions / Warhorse at the Berlin Theater des Westens in coproduction with the National Theater London and sang in the operetta Der Bettelstudent at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz . In 2016 he took on the male lead role Billy Flynn in the premiere cast of the Broadway classic Chicago at the Deutsches Theater in Munich. Most recently he played George Banks in Mary Poppins at the Stage Apollo Theater in Stuttgart and at the Stage Theater an der Elbe in Hamburg.
