Lyuben Dilov

Lyuben Dilow (also Lyuben Dilov, Bulgarian Любен Дилов ), (born December 25, 1927 in Cherven Brjag , Pleven Oblast , † June 10, 2008 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian writer.

Lyuben Dilow studied Bulgarian language and literature at the University of Sofia and began to publish his first science fiction stories during his studies . He has published more than 35 books since the early 1950s, was co-editor of a science fiction book series ( Galaxy ) and created the Bulgarian science fiction literary award Graviton in 1990 . His works have been translated into several languages. He himself also translated from German into Bulgarian (including Siegfried Lenz ).

He is the father of the Bulgarian publicist and politician Lyuben Dilow jr. (* 1964).
