Lyuben Stanev
Lyuben Nikolow Stanew ( Bulgarian Любен Николов Станев , born December 4, 1924 in Plovdiv , Bulgaria ; † November 15, 2009 ) was a Bulgarian writer.
life and career
Stanew first studied medicine at the Medical Faculty of the Plovdiv State University Chilendar. From 1949 he worked for literary magazines and published short stories, essays and novels. From 1953 he worked as a screenwriter, including the script for the film Die Kleine (1959). He has published eight novels and several short stories.
He was the founder and president of the Association of Doctors Writing in Bulgaria and Vice-President of the International Union of Doctors of Writers and a member of UNESCO .
