Lluís Borrassà (* probably in 1375 in Girona , † probably in 1425 in Barcelona ) was a Catalan painter of the Gothic .

Life

Borrassà probably comes from Girona and is attested in Catalonia between around 1375 and 1425. Borrassà settled in Barcelona around 1400 and quickly became one of the leading painters of his time. Among other things, he painted the altarpieces for the Petrus Altar of Sant Pere in Terrassa in 1411 .

Since up to now there is no evidence after 1425, the year of his death is dated around this time.
