Loch Migdale is a freshwater lake in Scotland . There is much evidence of human activity from the Bronze Age in the area around the lake, tumuli and small henges have been found in the area. The remains of a crannóg still exist on the lake today , which was probably built in the Iron Age and is said to have been inhabited around 1630. The early Bronze Age depot find Migdale Hoard was discovered nearby in 1900 during quarrying .
