Loch Raa (partly also Loch Ra ) is a Scottish freshwater lake . It is located in the Council Area Highland (Council Area) about 20 kilometers northwest of Ullapool .
Loch Raa is around 850 m long and on average around 650 km wide. The lake draws its water mainly from a 200 m long stream from Loch Vatachan and ultimately drains into the Scottish Sea via Allt Loch Ra . The banks of Loch Raa are entirely uninhabited and appear entirely as grassland. Although Loch Raa is very remote, the east bank of the lake is accessed by a small road, the C1047, and has a bus stop . Loch Raa is a fishing area in which brown trout in particular can be caught.
