Loch Resort , also known as Loch Reasort or Loch Resart , is a bay on the Scottish Hebridean island of Lewis and Harris .

Beginning on the island of Fladday at the northern entrance of the Sound of Scarp , Loch Resort cuts itself largely in a straight line in an east-northeast direction into the land mass of the double island of Lewis and Harris. Depending on the definition of the beginning, Loch Resort is between nine and eleven kilometers long. At its entrance, Loch Resort is around three kilometers and then gradually tapers. Rocky hills and heathland stretch along its banks. Various streams, including the Housay , flow into the head of the bay .
The bay is isolated on the west coast of the double island. Their banks are unpopulated and not accessible by roads. The hamlet of Hushinish on the Sound of Scarp is the closest settlement. With Loch Tamanavay , Loch Tealasavay and Loch Cravadale , Loch Resort has three smaller side bays.
Together with Loch Seaforth , Loch Resort forms part of the border between the two sub-islands of Lewis and Harris, with Lewis in the north and Harris in the south. Historically, this marked the border between Ross-shire and Inverness-shire . Today the entire double island belongs to the Outer Hebrides Council Area .
