Attractions

There is a menhir north of Lochdon . This protrudes from a base of 70 cm × 80 cm about 2.5 m in height. Today the stone is no longer vertical, but is inclined in a westerly direction. In the Lochdon area there are a total of three monuments from the highest Scottish monument category A. Northeast on Duart Bay is both the medieval Duart Castle and the Torosay Castle from 1858 , one of the island's main attractions. The statues in the surrounding park, made in the 18th century by the Italian stonemason Antonio Bonazza , are listed as an independent monument ensemble.

South of Loch Don are the four monuments of Port Donian .
