The Lochindorb ( Scottish Gaelic Loch nan Doirb ) is a freshwater lake north of Grantown-on-Spey in the Scottish Council Area Highland . On the lake lie the ruins of Lochindorb Castle , the former Comyn family home .

The lake itself is particularly popular with anglers and bird watchers, as many black-throated divers and gray geese nest there. At its southeast end there is a coniferous forest .
