Lodewijk Roembiak

Lodewijk "Lody" Roembiak (born May 18, 1969 in Leiden ) is a former Dutch football player . The midfielder was considered a wanderer: Among other things, he played in the Netherlands, Germany , Switzerland and Turkey , for more than ten different clubs.

In Germany Roembiak gained fame as a player for Werder Bremen in the 1998/99 season. Under Wolfgang Sidka as coach he was initially a regular player, but under Felix Magath he could no longer gain a foothold in Bremen after an injury-related break. In the following seasons Roembiak was therefore awarded to FC Aarau and SV Waldhof Mannheim .

Roembiak was considered a technically good player and excellent flank giver, but he was criticized for his weakness and his temporary overweight.

Coaching career

After his active career, Roembiak became a coach and from 2005 to 2010 he coached the VV SDS C-youth team . In 2010 he followed the call to work as a youth coach of the VV BBC. On March 19, 2012, he moved to city rivals VV Bergum and trained the second team there.
