Log On is a dancehall album by the Jamaican deejay Elephant Man from 2001. The album was released as a CD with 22 songs and as an LP with twelve songs on the Greensleeves Records label. The songs included were produced by various producers. In several tracks he sings or toasts together with other well-known dancehall artists such as B. Buju Banton , Spragga Benz , Ward 21 or Wayne Marshall . The album was on the Billboard charts at number 2 in the reggae categoryAlbum and ranked 32nd in the independent album category .

criticism

The album has come under heavy criticism. Especially the title song "Log On" , based on the Liquid Riddim , which accompanies a fashion dance of the same name. The song Log On contains almost exclusively homophobic lyrics in which u. a. encouraged to burn gays. In the chorus it says as follows:

"Log on, and step pon chi chi man. Log on from yu know seh yu nuh ickie man. Log on and step pon chi chi man. Dance wi a dance and a bun out a freaky man."

(Something like: "Hook up and dance on the tuna. Hook up when you know you see an egg grabber. Hook up and dance on the tuna. Dance, we dance and burn out this freak" .)

In 2009 the album was indexed by the federal inspection agency because it was harmful to young people.
