Loggia dei Lanzi
The Loggia dei Lanzi (also called Loggia della Signoria ) is a building on the Piazza della Signoria in Florence .
The arcade was built between 1376 and 1382 by Benci di Cione and Simone di Francesco Talenti in the Gothic style . The building originally served rallies and receptions of the Florentine Republic and later, after the housed here in the 16th century mercenaries ( Lanzichenecchi ) Cosimo I de 'Medici named.
The Feldherrnhalle in Munich was built on the model of the Loggia dei Lanzi.
